Bring the details you like, not just a picture.

A reference photo gives the conversation somewhere to begin. Look closely at the fringe, the outline around the ears, the height through the top and the shape at the nape. Two styles can both be called a pixie and still feel very different. Pick the details you want to talk about rather than expecting a photograph to be copied exactly.

It also helps to know what you do not want. You might prefer a softer outline, want to keep more length in front or be curious about a closer cut. Those preferences are useful information. If several photos appeal to you for different reasons, bring them and explain what catches your eye in each one.

Be honest about your everyday styling.

Think about how you currently wear your hair and what you are willing to do at home. Tell the studio whether you want to experiment with your finish or keep your routine familiar. A polished reference image shows one finished look; it does not tell you how that person styles it each morning.

Ask what the cut would involve for your hair and the finish you want. There is no single routine or appointment interval that applies to every short style. A conversation about your preferences is more useful than picking a look solely because someone else described it as easy.

Choose the appointment, not only the haircut name.

J No.5’s booking menu distinguishes the precision pixie haircut from short hair shampoo and style and the combined signature haircut and style. Read the current description before you select a time. If you want a shampoo and finished style along with a new cut, confirm that the appointment covers those parts of the visit.

The Big Chop is a separate menu choice, described as a long to short, even cut with an edge up and no curls. It is not automatically the same appointment as a shaped pixie. When the distinction is unclear, call the studio and explain your reference before booking.

Make your first visit a clear conversation.

Before your appointment at Meyerland Plaza, note your recent color or chemical services and any questions about your hair. Share that information with the studio instead of assuming every reference or service is appropriate. Review the current price, duration and booking policy in Setmore, then choose your available time.
